How do community roles and permissions work?

The owner console manages members and roles. Owners and admins can manage the community; members use the features their role allows.

What to do

1. Open the owner console members area.
2. Assign the role the console offers.
3. Save and ask the member to refresh.

Eligibility

A platform admin is not the same as a community admin. Community permissions stay inside that community.

If something goes wrong

• If a member still cannot post, check the space’s posting rules.
• Removing your own owner role can lock you out of settings.

Use moderation tools for behavior issues rather than only changing a role.
